Meet Our Staff

Julie Yarnall

Julie Yarnall’s love of children led her to become a preschool teacher after high school.  To pursue her love teaching, she before returned to college to earn her B.A. and California Teaching Credential.  After graduating from college she taught third grade in a public school in Inglewood, CA for three years.  Searching for a new way to meet children’s educational needs she discovered Waldorf education and it changed her life.  Since then she has earned two masters degrees, one in Early Childhood Education and the second in Waldorf Education.  She is Waldorf certified to teach the elementary grades, handwork and early children education.  She taught 1-3 grade at Ocean Charter School in Los Angeles, and Kindergarten and Handwork, grades 1-8 at Live Oak Charter School in Petaluma, CA.  Julie took over ownership of Heart and Hands in September 2014.
